Your audience has biases, expectations, requirements, and demands. The easiest way to complete an audience analysis is to develop the skill by envisioning yourself in the audience’s seat. What would you want to know/receive on their end, why would your focus be important to them? How do you naturally communicate and build credibility while simultaneously taking the risk necessary to drive desired outcomes? You cannot be perceived as a taker in effective communication … you must be a giver… and even being a giver comes with it’s challenges. Audience requirements come in many forms, personal, professional, technical, business or future. Oh and of course your audience is free to change how they feel about you or what you represent. The constant is change with audiences.
